Montpellier Cancer Research Institute shows its confidence in VINCI Facilities
South of France: VINCI Facilities Travaux Occitanie Méditerranée recently won the power supply and extra-low voltage works contract for the Montpellier Cancer Research Institute (ICM).
The ICM is a cancer research centre recognised throughout France for its expertise and innovation in patient care.
In 2019, the ICM launched a project to restructure and extend its central operating theatre complex consisting of seven theatres, including an interventional radiology room, by linking it with the four-room outpatient surgery clinic.
This 2,929 sq. meters project was awarded to the architects “Atelier Brigitte Galloni”.
For the electrical batch (power supply and ELV), the ICM set extremely high standards for its technical provider. It required a provider with solid expertise in highly complex electrical equipment, plus the ability to operate on a sensitive occupied site.
The project team from VINCI Facilities Travaux Occitanie Méditerranée won the contract following a smoothly organised call for tender. This is a major first for our teams, with this big name from Montpellier making a great addition to their customer portfolio.
What made the difference:
- The campaign led by the VINCI Facilities’ team, to charm the customer and convince them of our talent.
- The ICM’s desire to work with a new local provider from a large group.
The works will be organised in three execution phases: one construction phase on the new building and two on the existing site.
The project began in September and will continue for
23 months.
Revenue: €1.5 million
