ETAVIS at the finest watchmaking trade show in Geneva

Last spring, in Geneva, the former SIHH (Fine Watchmaking Fair) took place, for the first time, under the name “Watches and Wonders”. 120 employees from 17 ETAVIS business units were involved in creating the luxurious stands. The entire planning and organisation operation was extremely challenging.

For this first version of “Watches and Wonders”, ETAVIS Event Services developed and went on to implement a total of 8 stand designs for top-class clients such as Rolex, Chopard and Hublot. The stands were extremely large and luxuriously appointed. The Rolex stand, for example, extended over a surface area of 3,000 sq. meters.

All the high- and low-voltage installations for the large, complex stands were supplied, as well as the entire network technology and WLAN infrastructure. And customized HVAC and plumbing systems were installed in the multi-storey stands. “We’re talking here about the largest indoor exhibition stands in the world”, said Fabian Bringold, head of ETAVIS Event Services. Security installations and all the exterior lighting for the facades of the four biggest stands were also provided by our employees.

The successful implementation of such a project was only possible thanks to our Switzerland-wide network. Event Services were actively supported by business units from Reinach (BL) to Carouge (GE).
