Connecting BIM and CMMS: a pilot project launched in Germany
The VINCI Facilities Germany teams, TwinOps and VESI are working closely with each other to connect BIM and CMMS* on a PPP project in Bergheim, Germany.
Through this project, VINCI Facilities Germany seek to integrate and commercialise the TwinOps solution to make it a source of performance and differentiation.
The kick-off meeting, which took place last week, brought together all related participants including VESI and SAP teams. The project manager in Germany is Moonjin Choi, and TwinOps teams will ensure the technical expertise.
In order to have a successful data exchange between SAP (master system for FM / Asset Management) and BIM, VINCI Facilities is currently working on the analysis of the assets registered in SAP that influence the creation and use of BIM.
Depending on the results of the operation, the deployment will follow the PPP digitization campaign led by Bernard Jean.
We will keep you informed of the progress made on this project!
* The integration of BIM data in the CMMS system will make it possible to organise, archive and better manage maintenance work for the Facility Manager. Another benefit is that the project supports a move from a preventive/corrective approach to a predictive maintenance approach in buildings.
