Another Energy-Saving & Environmental Challenge for VINCI Facilities: the highest Tower at La Defense
In 2018, for the first time in 30 years, a 6,500 m2 piece of property at the gates of La Defense will be vacated. Owner Groupama Immobilier has decided to build an innovative tower boasting unprecedented visibility and dimensions. Scheduled to open in 2022, “The Link” will cover 130,000 m2 and measure a whopping 244 meters, about 15 meters more than France’s highest sky scraper to-date (“The First” at 231m). The hyper-customized project has been designed hand-in-hand with its future occupant, Oil & Gas giant Total and provides ambitious environmental and energy-saving features such as the best in environmental certifications (HQE 2016, BREEAM excellent, Well Silver, Biodivercity and Effinergie) plus sophisticated simulation techniques to optimize real-time consumption that meets the future tenant’s energy requirements.
Acquired by VINCI Facilities in October 2018, GreenAffair, in collaboration with COMEET, will be in charge of leading and supporting the client on all environmental aspects thanks to a comprehensive package of sustainable services and solutions.
