A vintage contract for VINCI Facilities: Grands Chais de France signs an EPC including ESCs

VINCI Facilities Sud Centre Est has signed an EPC (energy performance contract) including an ESC (energy savings certificate) mechanism for Grands Chais de France’s industrial plant in Landiras, near Bordeaux, southwestern France.

The Grands Chais de France group is a well-known player in wine and spirits markets worldwide. It approached VINCI Facilities Sud Centre Est when it ran its call for tenders to upgrade its cold production system for its air conditioning system and wine bottle filling operation.

The company chose to conduct a systemic energy audit (Quickscan) in order to build a comprehensive picture of the customer’s energy costs and, most importantly, to ascertain its actual requirements and tender the most targeted solutions.

That approach gave its bid a clear edge: it put VINCI Facilities’ teams in a position to optimise their technical and business bid around the customer’s precise industrial requirements.

This project is being financed by a bond and includes a reserve fund for future energy-related works. It encompasses an EPC and an ESC mechanism in partnership with Tunzini.

One of the reasons why the customer chose this bid is that the EPC involves tapping into and recovering a substantial source of unavoidable energy.

This agreement, in other words, is a long-term commitment to a win-win partnership.
