A VINCI Facilities BU manager engages in a social project

When I joined VINCI Facilities Dauphiné-Savoie Maintenance Services (DSMS) in early 2017, I was pleased to discover that my predecessor, Mathieu Schmitt, had taken set up a partnership with the Pôle Alpen in Grenoble, with financial support from the Fondation VINCI. The purpose was to support and train the long-term unemployed to help households in financial difficulty to take their housing situation in hand by controlling their energy consumption.

When the partnership reached completion, I looked around for a project of similar scope with which to continue our social programme, a strong value within our business unit that I wish to cultivate.

Clara Palcsynski, Special Adviser to the City of Grenoble, got in touch with me in early 2018 about a plan to create a neighbourhood concierge services project that would create jobs, forge social ties among the various neighbourhood residents and shops, reinvigorate neighbourhood ties and offer customised neighbourhood services. Again in partnership with the Fondation Vinci pour la Cité, I immediately signed on to the project and offered to become a local sponsor.

Being a sponsor consists above all in bringing added value by giving the project the benefit of our business unit’s skills and expertise in areas such as technical training, helping it set up tools and methods, and participating in the design and construction of a commercial strategy based in particular on our expertise in corporate concierge services.

I want to take this opportunity to thank Julien Jamois, Business Unit Manager of VINCI Facilities TOUT L’TEMPS PRESS, for supporting me on the project.

Our business unit is known and respected in the Grenoble area as a dynamic company that takes social responsibility seriously. Several of our employees made a substantial contribution and enabled our business unit to win the Grenoble urban area’s 2017 integration award in recognition of our dynamic social integration work.

I want to share this new project with all our employees and enable volunteers to participate. I believe that this engagement will lend further meaning to our business activity.
