A Full FM contract for the Hôtel de la Marine in Paris
The high-profile Hôtel de la Marine on the Place de la Concorde in Paris will not be opening for many months, but the VINCI Facilities contract won just before the start of the lockdown is up and running!
The VF SIP teams are included in the decision-making process and are supporting the CMN’s work resumption plan.
Following the departure of the French Naval Staff in 2015, the Centre des Monuments Nationaux (CMN – national monuments centre) launched an ambitious renovation project at the Hôtel de la Marine, designed to open spaces to the public and provide premium office space in a move to make the most of the exceptional heritage building.
The nearly 13,000 sq. metre structure faces the Place de la Concorde in the heart of Paris (8th arrondissement). The CMN decided in early 2020 to award a Full FM contract covering all site services to VF SIP in a joint venture with Fiducial.
The high-profile site was to scheduled open to the public in early 2020. Although the health crisis forced a postponement and the worksite was shut down, David Gallet’s teams swung into action to help the customer cope with the unprecedented situation.
VINCI Facilities services began on 1 April 2020 as initially planned, but were adapted. The Operations Director (VINCI Facilities Senior Hospitality Manager) is working full time on the project, tackling all the issues involved in progressively resuming work on the vast renovation project and anticipating the needs of the various tenants.
“We received further assignments in addition to those initially included in the contract, and we fully adapted to support all the decisions made by our customer and provide ongoing reassurance,” says VF SIP Business Unit Manager David Gallet. “We are working with our customer to a schedule that has been staggered and completely revised in accordance with the worksite acceptance procedures for the various spaces. We are making sure nothing is left out in the run-up to opening this iconic national building.”
VF SIP interacts with Fiducial (which ensures site safety) as part of a joint venture and subcontracts IT maintenance to Axians Outsourcing Paris.
