VINCI Facilities takes on the healthcare market!

France: Ramsay Santé is the number one in private hospital care in France and one of Europe’s leading providers of integrated healthcare. In August 2020, it opened a call for tender for managing the maintenance of all its healthcare establishments in France. A total of 119 establishments are covered, including hospitals, clinics, follow-up care and rehabilitation, and mental health facilities, which are divided into seven separate batches.

The Business Development team, led by Philippe Vanhulst, took on the call for tender and involved the business units with competences in the area: VINCI Facilities FM2S in Ile-de-France, and four business units in Bourgogne Franche-Comté and Rhône-Alpes. The formation of a “healthcare” project team began with major projects manager Sébastien Guyot, to coordinate the response and meet the tough demands in this market. The combined local expertise of these business units made it possible to build a credible and accessible bid.

VINCI Facilities tendered for four batches and won three of them: two in Ile-de-France and one in Bourgogne Franche-Comté. This covers a total 47 establishments, 42 of which are in Ile-de-France.

In defending their bid, the teams gave a convincing account of their ability to meet the customer’s needs thanks to a discussion centred on healthcare. The innovative approach presented was extremely well received and provided concrete information about the services it offered. VINCI Facilities was also involved in the buildings’ energy management, setting a goal of reducing electricity consumption by 1% to 2% and gas consumption by 6% to 7% by the end of the first year. For the forthcoming energy performance contract, VF FM2S will be calling upon the expertise of an energy engineer from Greenaffair.

This is a great success for the team and a springboard for the brand, increasing its visibility in the healthcare sector in France. Sébastien Guyot said, “Gaining this contract is pivotal for VINCI Facilities, and this success highlights our centre of expertise for healthcare and our ability to challenge players like IDEX, Dalkia and Engie in this most competitive of markets.”
