Rollout of the first Renov&Care solutions
Cegelec 3S and VINCI Facilities FM2S are set to equip 10 rooms with the Renov&Care solution in the care facility at a gerontology centre in the 16th arrondissement of Paris.
The customer wanted to refurbish its rooms quickly, making them safer and more pleasant for their residents. They were soon impressed by the Renov&Care solution, which aims to equip and connect a resident bedroom in record time. With its innovative home automation equipment, Renov&Care can improve the resident’s independence, safety and well-being, and create a truly “connected room”.
This was an opportunity for the establishment to make itself more attractive despite the current media climate, which is somewhat negative regarding care homes.
This first installation of the Renov&Care solution was made possible thanks to VF FM2S, the multi-technology operator of this site, taking a proactive approach. They regularly discussed Renov&Care’s ambition and value proposition with the establishment’s management, reflecting their innovative, service-oriented approach.
A co-design approach allowed them to address the customer’s stated needs, suggesting a single screen for tablet and TV with high sound quality, improved accessibility with swivel arms, etc. The visuals presented in the early stages were a key factor in the customer’s decision. The solution’s aesthetic appeal also addressed the need to “blow the dust off” the image of a care home room and offer residents a “connected”, “hotel” experience.
Lastly, to enable the establishment to take room reservations before the renovations are complete, the offer was topped with an immersive 3D view, allowing residents to “step into” their future connected Renov&Care room.
Teams from Cegelec 3S have started production of the 10 Renov&Care systems, with VF FM2S handling operations (general contracting, fitting, electrics) for installation in an occupied setting and commissioning in late February.
The contract includes basic Renov&Care functionality, with three optional extras: light therapy (remote lighting control), music therapy (via a Bluetooth speaker) and aromatherapy (scent diffuser). Additionally, extensive ergonomic and aesthetic work was undertaken to accommodate the customer’s choices of colours and materials.
Contract value: €90,000
