VINCI Facilities steps up its CSR programme with the creation of TIM
With the support of the Fondation VINCI, the VINCI Energies VINCI Facilities brand and Vitamine T (a major social entrepreneurship player and work integration leader in France) are creating TIM, a work integration company specialising in Facility Management.
David Ernest, Business Development and Innovation Director within the VEF Facilities IdF Tertiaire pole, describes the initiative.
What is the goal of the social joint venture?
The shared goal is to build a path to employment in Facility Management by setting up a social joint venture to employ people enrolled in work integration (Shareholding: 49% VINCI Facilities and 51% Vitamine T). TIM employees will be people qualified in end user service (multi-service) and first-level maintenance (multi-technical) jobs.
What is the social mission?
The social mission consists in supporting people enrolled in work integration programmes by providing customised, intensive coaching to enable them to gain long-term employment or qualification training, following a 24-month work integration course. It therefore constitutes a recruitment channel in which we are called on to meet strong commitments.
How does it differ from VFEA?
VFEA (VINCI Facilities Entreprise Adaptée) is primarily designed for long-term unemployed people with disabilities. With TIM, we are boosting our CSR programme to cover additional profiles – people who have experienced difficulty in their lives but who may have specific expertise and service skills.
What is your added value?
TIM provides services calling for first-line qualifications that are often subcontracted by VINCI Facilities. TIM enables us to strengthen our position in the technical part and above all include the service part of our bids. In addition, TIM enables us to offer this type of services at market prices.
Does TIM create opportunities?
With a focus on innovative services, VINCI Facilities can obtain expertise from Vitamine T in areas such as maintenance of shared vegetable gardens, bicycle repair and maintenance, as well as “green ambassador” profiles. Many more services can be imagined, and TIM expands the range of possibilities!
What are the next steps?
This CSR programme needs to be applied in the field (primarily in the Greater Paris area for the time being). Our customers are aware of it and we will be increasingly including it in our bids as a contribution to our social commitments and those of our customers.
