VINCI Facilities Germany Gaining Speed in the PPP Market
Thanks to extensive experience as a reputed expert in Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), VINCI Facilities SKE Germany has successfully won a significant contract for the “Berufskolleg” university in Bergheim. Signed in January, this contract is the first successful PPP bid of 2018. The agreement’s 25-year term will stay in effect until 2044.
The contract was concluded after the signing of another major project in the second half of 2017, involving the construction, renovation and operation of several schools in Cologne.
A PPP agreement differs from the more classic Facility Management transaction. A PPP contract has a much longer term, from 20 to 30 years, and involves unavoidable reinvestment costs to comply with regulated levels of service. Over time, VINCI Facilities SKE Germany has acquired specific expertise in the execution of PPPs. This type of project now makes up a significant part of VINCI Facilities’ revenue.
