A new cart in the Toulouse subway
Under VINCI Facilities’ HVAC maintenance contract for the Toulouse metro system, its teams often need to transport heavy equipment in the 12.5 km of tunnels.
VINCI Facilities technicians perform the work primarily at night under difficult conditions. VINCI Facilities therefore looked for a solution better suited to the work environment.
Contract manager Jean Michel SANTAIS explains:
The cart was such a success that the management of Tisseo, the commercial name of the public transport system in Toulouse and its region, decided to use it to transport people with limited mobility in the event of an evacuation following the breakdown of a metro train between two stations.
The cart has substantially improved the quality of life at work for our technicians.
