K-Ryole: the smart electric trailer

K-Ryole began as an electric trailer hooked to a bicycle and used to transport loads in city centres.

Then its inventors it had the idea of further developing their innovation for use on construction sites, and created an electric “wheelbarrow” that can be used to transport loads of up to 250 kg.

What is it used for?

On worksites, we use cranes or goods lifts to vertically move heavy materials. But horizontal handling is carried out manually, which entails a risk of occupational injury or illness. K-Ryole provides an effective solution.

How does it work?

K-Ryole is equipped with a rechargeable battery. The latest tests have shown battery autonomy of three days. The dashboard includes a processor that monitors the use of the machine (distance covered, routes, etc.)

How much does it cost?

There are two options: purchase or leasing. The unit purchase price is about €10,000. Leasing typically costs just under €400 per month, including upkeep and maintenance.

Payback period?

K-Ryole was developed jointly with Bouygues Bâtiment. When it is used in structural works applications, the payback period is less than six months. In our activities, the payback period would be a bit longer, since we have fewer raw materials to transport.
