Wah Loon wins a new contract in Singapore for a data center
VINCI Energies acquired Singapore-based Wah Loon in 2018, strengthening its presence in Asia Pacific.
Wah Loon is specialized in major turnkey electrical and mechanical projects and is present in all segments of the value chain: design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance. It has in-depth expertise in several areas: electrical systems, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), fire protection, systems integration and building management systems.
Wah Loon recently won a contract for the fifth data center of Equinix in Singapore (SG5). The services include electrical and mechanical installation work for the eight-storey building. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2020, for a contract value of €21.5m.
Another project that illustrates Wah Loon’s ability to work on complex projects, she completed the installation and lighting for the Singapore Formula 1 Grand Prix this year.
Wah Loon has 360 employees including 315 in Singapore and 45 in Malaysia. Most of its revenue comes from the construction of data centers and high-end commercial and residential projects.
