ShAKe: the largest tertiary-sector project north of Paris

ShAKe (think: share and work) is a new 33,000 square-metre office building at the heart of Lille’s business district.
The developer Nacarat awarded the project to the builder and project lead Rabot-Dutilleul in 2017. The new building will accommodate the new Hauts-de-France headquarters of Caisse d’Epargne, along with “shared” spaces such as creches, restaurants and hotels.

In 2019, Cegelec Nord Grands Projets secured the six batches listed below as co-contractor:

  • Power supply
  • ELV (security, intrusion protection, access control and video surveillance)
  • BMS
  • Power generator
  • Exterior lighting
  • Photovoltaic panels (109 panels, 36 kWp)

This project includes several special features: installation of a BMS capable of managing the versatile use of spaces, a remote-controlled lighting management system, and precabling. It also requires the implementation of standardised processes, with prefabrication, to facilitate floor-by-floor organisation of the works. For example, for the 2,000 VDI points, 60% were prefabricated in factory via AZENN. The same goes for the high voltage pre-wiring, where a partnership with WIELAND and deliveries packaged by trays have been planned.

The building site being located in the heart of the city, logistics is a real challenge. To optimize deliveries, schedules are systematically drawn up with suppliers, and Cegelec has worked with an ESAT for the storage and repackaging of materials.

The project currently involves some twenty operational personnel on site, with handover expected in Q1 2022.

Total value: €9.5 million

ShAKe is targeting HQE and BREEAM Excellent certifications.
