Santerne Surfaces Commerciales won the contract to refurbish Galeries Lafayette Annecy

The Legendre Group subcontracted the high voltage and low voltage packages for the Galeries Lafayette Annecy (south-eastern France) refurbishment project out to Santerne Surfaces Commerciales.

The 50‑year-old building will undergo a major architectural transformation. By restructuring this architecturally unique building, Citynove, the property branch of the Galeries Lafayette Group, wishes to restore it to its former glory and revitalise its services.

Citynove plans to build a shopping gallery consisting of thirty or so new retail units around the department store, thus creating large window displays for the very first time. The project, led by architect Manuelle Gautrand, therefore involves refurbishing the existing store and creating a new retail space, increasing the sales area from 9,000 m² to 15,000 m².

By winning this new contract, Santerne Surfaces Commerciales confirms its position in relation to Galeries Lafayette. The company CAP Sécurité has been included in the project for its security and video surveillance expertise.

Value of the electricity works package: €2.3 m

Duration of works: May 2020 to July 2022
