Portugal: New Cancer Building
Sotécnica’s Mechanical Building Solutions (MBS), and Electrical Building Solutions (EBS) were awarded a contract by Mota-Engil for Botton-Champalimaud Pancreatic Cancer Center.
Champalimaud Foundation is a portuguese non-profit foundation which purpose is to develop scientific research activities in the medicine field. This project takes place in Lisbon, home of the foundation since it’s opening, in 2004.
Botton-Champalimaud Pancreatic Cancer Center is one of the centers that the Foundation has projected to build ever since the beginning for investigation and treatment of pancreatic cancer.
For the current project, Sotécnica will supply and assembly the hydraulic installations (water cold and hot, sewage and fire networks, water mirrors, pumping wells, laboratory water neutralization, pure water and production plants for the HVAC), sanitary wares including installation of bathroom accessories, solar thermal anels, electric installations, electrical switchboards, HVAC installations and production of hot and cold water for air conditioning, as well as solar panels.
For this challenge, we count on our expertise in general mechanical installations or facilities, along with Sotécnica’s business units technical expertise in electrical switchboards’ production (Electrical Switchboard Solutions) and electrical installations (Electrical Building Solutions’ business unit) which will also take part on this project.
The project has started in September 2020 and is expected to be concluded in the end of October 2021.
