France: Mechanical works for the future Toulouse Fondeyre logistics zone
Toulouse Logistique Urbaine, with support from Poste Immo, has entrusted Tunzini Toulouse with the mechanical installations for one of France’s largest (22,000 sq. metres) dedicated urban logistics centres. This project highlights all the expertise and commitment of the Tunzini Toulouse teams, especially the installation of a boiler system with gas cogeneration.
Ultimately, 70,000 packages will pass through this site in Fondeyre, Toulouse, with last-mile delivery handled using electric vehicles.
The loading docks in this new space will be suitable for light and electric vehicles (vans, cargo bikes, electric quad bikes, etc.). Around 40 of the 100 planned slots will be equipped with electric charging stations. The site will also include traditional and natural gas service stations, with a hydrogen filling station also planned.
