EEP: Entreprise d'Electricité de Picardie

EEP could be described as local and segmented. Local, because it operates in Picardie, a region with no large urban centres apart from Amiens, which is 50 km away and where Cegelec Amiens Tertiaire operates within the same area; and segmented, because the healthcare sector has long accounted for 50% of its business activity. Healthcare has a poor reputation within the group due to the losses it has incurred, but EEP demonstrates that it is possible to maintain this expertise and generate very satisfactory revenue from it.

EEP joined the VINCI Energies group in 2006, with Pascal Daragon as Business Unit Manager. At the time, it generated annual revenue of €3m, which is now approaching €6.5m. This substantial growth is backed by a very strong business unit culture that has been consolidated and expanded over the years.

The business unit’s values are communication / sharing, customer satisfaction, high quality workmanship and performance.

These are not just fine words: coffee at 7:00 sharp every morning, without exception, to give instructions to the teams (worksite, purchasing, administrative, etc.); OneDrive-based mobility solution to share schedule updates at any time; work on promising innovations in the healthcare sector (vital signs monitoring, connected watches); a safety culture leading to 1,500 accident-free days: 18001 certification, more expensive but more effective PPE (customised ear protectors, high-topped shoes to avoid sprains); and performance driven by optimised overheads and good worksite productivity.

Olivier Barras, who has just been appointed Business Unit Manager at Demouselle Tertiaire, hands over to Vincent Boulin, a former EEP project manager, promoted to Business Unit Manager at Demouselle Pas-de-Calais in 2012, in a move that further displays the loyalty and spirit within the business unit.

We wish the Business Unit and Pascal Daragon’s team all the best!
