Convention Engineering & Works: a big first!

On 18 & 19 July, the first VINCI Energies Engineering & Works Convention was held with nearly 300 people in Chantilly, France.

The aim of this event was to bring together the Directors and Business Unit Managers of the Building Solutions Network in France, Belgium and Morocco, over two days. A French-speaking convention attended by the VINCI Facilities directors from the same countries but also the works directors from Romania and Germany.

A real moment of exchange and sharing, the Engineering & Works companies have valued their know-how and the dynamism of a network of local brands that represents almost ¼ of the turnover of the VINCI Energies Group.

The opportunity to federate under a common banner: Building Solutions

Created at the end of 2018, this new name for the domain of activity (combining maintenance and works) has a strong graphic identity and a strong signature for the Engineering & Works part: Bringing life to buildings.

Aymeric TISSANDIER, Director Engineering & Works Building Solutions has also highlighted a key element of this new identity:

“This wheel of works is our common point. It’s our wealth when we set it in motion and everyone finds their place in the client’s project. When all the pieces of the puzzle come together to contribute to the overall work, then, collectively, we bring life to buildings. “

The plenary started with the intervention of Christian Glade, DGA VINCI Energies France and was punctuated by several round tables highlighting the diversity of companies and the wealth of expertise.

During the plenary session, Philippe CONUS, Building Solutions Director, has also shared a strong and enthusiastic message on the domain of activity:

“We are one of the only actors with such a strong positioning throughout the lifecycle of the building: bringing life with works activities and then taking care of buildings with multi-technical maintenance and facility management activities.”

The plenary was closed with the intervention of Arnaud GRISON, Chief Executive Officer of VINCI Energies.

The participants were then able to enjoy a “guinguette chic” evening with a surprise guest … the rain! However, everyone enjoyed this moment.

The second day dedicated to the Building Solutions Village enabled the participants to deepen several themes related to the jobs, the latest trends and innovations within the network. In total, 17 stands and 4 large conferences were held throughout this morning.

A warm thank you to all the speakers and participants who made this event a success!
