Perpignan Prison makes 20% energy savings

As part of the French National Recovery Plan, Cegelec Perpignan is to completely renovate the heating system in Perpignan Prison (south of France) with no interruption to heating.

 

The contract stipulates energy savings of 20%, equivalent to 2,000 MWh per year or 389 tonnes of CO2 avoided!

 

Cegelec Perpignan has therefore implemented a compensation plan for one year following commissioning, to validate the savings achieved, and has set an internal target of 30% energy savings to make this project a local benchmark. The project received over €128,000 in UNECE funding, which the business unit will pay to the project owner.

 

Contract details:

  • Batch 1: Heating system & substation renovation
  • Batch 2: DHW networks and circuit
  • Batch 3: Heating system compliance

 

Works dates and duration:

  • 9 months for execution + 1 year of energy consumption monitoring
