France: Cegelec Sud-Ouest Grands Projets is born
The major projects businesses of Cegelec Occitanie and Cegelec Bordeaux are merging to form a new company: Cegelec Sud-Ouest Grands Projets.
This business unit will be dedicated to so-called “complex” major projects. Its mission is to consult, design, organise, oversee and implement electrical infrastructure for every type of building. Its teams are experts in energy management and quality of life; their watchwords are efficiency and innovation.
These multiple areas of expertise enable Cegelec Sud-Ouest Grands Projets to offer its services for a range of complex high-added-value projects: industrial plants, hospitals/clinics, offices, etc.
Focus on a recently completed project:
The business unit won the contract to replace the LV distribution boards in the Saint‑Éloi and Gui de Chauliac hospitals in Montpellier (South of France).
This is a complex deal worth €3 million over two years, operating on an occupied site. As works manager Abdel Boukechiche explains, “We can under no circumstances risk a power cut in the hospital. We have implemented precautionary measures and established an extremely tight operations schedule to ensure service continuity during switchovers. We have highly qualified teams on site, who are experts in this type of operation.”
This project involves four operational staff, including three technicians from VINCI Facilities Occitanie working in conjunction.
